ISBN Converter Terms of Service

1. Use of the Service
- You may use the Service for lawful purposes only.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if you abuse the Service or attempt to disrupt its availability.
2. Credits and Billing
- The Service provides 100 free ISBN conversion credits per month to registered accounts.
- Credits may be purchased in packs. All purchases are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
- Taxes are calculated at checkout based on your billing location.
3. Paid Credits: Expiry and Consumer Rights
- Purchased credits do not expire and remain on your account until used. If you close your account, unused purchased credits are forfeited and are non-refundable, except where required by law.
- If we discontinue the Service, we will provide at least 30 days' notice by email before purchased credits expire. Unused credits at the point of expiry are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
4. Fair Use
- Each credit entitles you to one ISBN conversion.
- We enforce rate limiting as necessary to ensure service availability and stability for all users.
- Exceeding rate limits will result in request errors. Automated abuse or bot-like traffic may be dropped at the network level (e.g., via Cloudflare).
5. Data Handling
- Files submitted for conversion are deleted immediately after processing, unless they cause a system error. In such cases, files may be retained temporarily for debugging.
- We log ISBNs for operational purposes.
- We use Google Analytics and PostHog for page view tracking and product analytics.
- We retain account data as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations.
- If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and the right to object to certain processing activities. To exercise these rights, please contact us.
6. No Warranty
- The Service is provided "as is" with no warranties of any kind.
- We do not guarantee accuracy, reliability, or uninterrupted availability.
7. Limitation of Liability
- We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
8. Price Changes
- We may change our pricing at any time. We'll provide advance notice before any price changes take effect.
9. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service means you accept any changes.
10. Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
